  • The Islington Peer Support Service, delivered by The Forward Trust is peer-led, mutual aid community of like-minded people who are making good progress in their recovery journey.

     

    All clients referred to the Islington Peer Support Serivce gain instant access to our national Forward Connect community, which is both a face-to-face and online community of people in recovery from addiction, and/or other difficulties such as criminality, homeslessness, mental health problems or unemployment.

     

    While the Islington Peer Support Service is not solely for those who are abstinent, members will need to be in control of their drink or drug use, and not be chaotic in their using i.e. , antisocial behaviour, heavy daily/binge using of either drugs or alcohol. Members who are suspected to be intoxicated at any event, activity, or meeting (online or offline); will be refused entry on those occasions.

     Once referred, members can access:

    • Online peer support 7 days a week through the Forward Trust app's group chat function
    • Online peer support programme 6 days a week (Tuesday - Sunday)
    • Weekend activities at King Henry's Walk, Islington from 10am-4pm (Saturday & Sunday)

  • We store your information on our case management system Nebula. This is a cloud-based system provided by Orion Practice Management Systems. Information is stored in the UK and the EU only. We may also store your information on our cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 system, documents are held on Microsoft SharePoint and the data centres are based in the UK.
